In Principle
At DQi, we consider Software Development
to be the set of activities that results in software products. Software development
may include research, new development, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance,
or any other activities that result in new or modified software products.
The Software Development Life
Cycle (SDLC) has long been considered a black box approach to the
black art of separating clients from their hard earned cash. Software projects are
notorious for scope creep and synonymous with not making targets.
"To a man with a hammer, every problem looks
like a nail.
Mark Twain
In stark contrast to Mark Twain's sentiment, Digital Intelligence
calls for an open minded approach to the SDLC. A high frequency of concrete deliverables
allows the end user to do early testing and familiarization. It further dictates
smart software design producing truly reusable modules, in effect resulting in predominantly
mature systems, even for bespoke (custom designed) software. It also means using
the right digital tool for the job as far as functionality, usability and price
is concerned. Contact us for Sotware Development

The DQi Team
Some of the members of the DQi
development team have over seventeen years of experience building custom and commercial
multi-user, multi tiered data base, process control and imbedded control systems
using a multitude of technologies. This includes extensive, hands-on experience
of the complete SDLC.
In systems analysis and design we maintain a balance between company strategy, requirements,
technical excellence, cutting edge technology, budget and time scales.
We excel in Object Oriented analysis and design using predominantly UML modelling.
Although we concentrate increasingly on modern Microsoft technologies like the .NET
Framework and MS SQL, our skills set includes many traditional
programming languages and technologies allowing us to interface with, improve or
migrate many legacy systems.
We tend to adopt the methodologies of our customers if they prefer for the simple
reason that we believe in making the experience as painless to the customer as possible.
It is our experience that the methodology per se does not dictate the success or
failure of a design. We are standing by to improve
your Software Development Experience
